What we are known for
Project transparency, integrity, quality and communication are the four words on our wall. In practice they mean a drawing review before the first invoice, a schedule we hold ourselves to, change directives in writing, and one person you can call who knows where your project stands.
The proof is the client list. Quiznos trusted us with more than 100 stores in our first decade. Northern Tool + Equipment, Dunkin’, Baskin-Robbins and Massage Heights have kept calling since 2009 and 2010. Chains do not come back to a contractor who misses opening dates.
Family-owned, second generation
Makko is a family-owned and operated business. The second generation is making sure that the company’s growth is built on the relationships we have today: the brands, the franchisees, the local owners, the subcontractors we have worked with for years, and the city inspectors who know how we build.
How we work
Review and plan
Architectural drawing review, budget estimating, subcontractor selection, permits and municipality interaction before anything is built.
Build and manage
Every subcontractor managed by us, quality and safety checked by us, progress and costs reported to you.
Deliver and support
Close-out documentation and the certificate of occupancy on the promised date, with service and repair after opening.
Where we work
Dallas-Fort Worth and North Texas. Our home base is Crandall in Kaufman County, east of Dallas, and most of our projects are within the metroplex: Dallas, Fort Worth, Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Irving, Arlington, Mesquite, Garland, Rockwall, Forney, Terrell and the surrounding cities. For chain clients we travel further in Texas when the brand asks us to.
Licensing, insurance and safety
Placeholder for the client’s facts: licenses and registrations held, general liability and workers’ compensation coverage, bonding capacity if applicable, and safety record. These belong here because owners and landlords ask for them before a bid is read.
